Terschelling not only has her own fishing fleet, it also has her unique traditional costume and style of building houses. You can see it on this tourist attraction when i took this picture of my daughter and her friend.
Most of the smaller Dutch communities have their traditional costume, but the number of people wearing it, is very limited. Only during festivities and dancing demonstrations it is worn. The Terschelling style of building houses and farms is not so rare on our island, lots of old houses and farms are restored in the original colors and style with original materials.
