Old Bat

the swan whisperer

As the weather forecast wasn't promising, I leapt off early to blip but at my first blip, the camera flashed RED, so I had to come home and put the battery on charge.

At lunchtime, I nipped down to Port Edgar, but the tide was in so no enticing mudflats, and the ducks and ducklings were out on the water at the other side of the marina where there is no public access and my point'n'shoot wouldn't capture anything that far away.

So, wandering back I swerved round by the harbour on the off chance of something blippable, and lo! there was someone chatting at close quarters with a swan. I know the pair of swans lurk around here a lot, but this was really close quarters.
