Gnarly old tree
At Harlow Carr RHS Gardens. This tree looks like the sort to ooze blood if hit with an axe.
We later saw a weeping pine that looked like a pointing witch in flowing gown and we hadn't even had a drink.
Later we had copious cups of tea, dinky crustless sandwiches, scone (pronounced scone) jam and clotted cream and some petite cakes. OO it was a lovely day out.
I was especially pleased to see dandelion, creeping buttercup, dock, mare's tail and other assorted weeds in the RHS gardens - I feel much better about my little patch.
