Point and shoot only tonight

I had a disaster with my beloved camera today; it stopped working. When I switched it on, the autofocus kept going on and on, and when I tried to take a photo, nothing appeared on the screen. Neither would the functions of the camera work.
God, I was worried, and so I borrowed a camera from school, and I took this blip; I really do notice the difference in the quality.
And, I discovered that I had left the laptop at school, so couldn't download the same day. i went to bed early, and this did me some good, but I woke at 3a.m., thinking about my poor camera and what I had done to it. I then thought that that if the autofocus kept on readjusting, it was as if the shutter button was stuck down..... AHA!! The button was stuck.
I ended up getting up, and under the bright kitchen light I looked really carefully, and saw what looked like a grain of sand. I got a wee needle, and pinged out this wee grain of sand.
Voila!! My camera worked again.
God, they're terribly precious, these bloody cameras!!
