SUNLIGHT ON LILIES
This lily is growing in a stand of lilies in an olive grove. They are very tall, about five feet high. There is a sign in front of them which says, in Italian: "Please do not take away these lilies. They are for all to see, not for one selfish person to take home."
They are known as Il gigli di San Giovanni, St. John's lily.
While there, I also took a few shots of olive blossoms. They are so tiny that you really need a macro lens to photograph them properly. The olive tree cuts its cloth to suit its means pretty much and does not waste energy on blossoms. I almost used this pic because it is more interesting than the lilies; it's just not as beautiful.
