Elanors first pet

We have been talking about E getting a pet for ages but it has never quite happened. On Sunday we went to a 'Wood Fest' - a sort of fair on the theme of wood - and I turned my back for a minute while she went on a 'Hook a Duck' fair ground stall. Next things she is standing behind me saying "Daddy I've got a pet!!!"

In her hand was a plastic bag with a cute goldfish in it.

She/he is called Swimsy

He doesn't do much but I like having him around - not sure what the lifespan of fairground goldfish is but we will look after him as well as we can
