A field of scarlet poppies

For the last few years at this time we have been able to enjoy this field of scarlet poppies which is at the bottom of the Bewdley Bypass. It seems a fitting blip for me today - I have been to a funeral this afternoon - someone who died at only 46 - and I think I am right in saying that he must have played in or near these fields as a youngster.

I also saw this pretty Highland Cow in a field of buttercups this morning.
