Over or Under?

Every time I pass this 5 bar gate the chucks huddle up to it, expecting quite what I don't know, perhaps they are hoping to break out. They are of course perfectly capable of hopping on top of the gate but never show the inclination to do so. Perhaps they are still formulating their plan....
