Being green

I've been thinking a bit today about recycling, mainly because of the amount of plastic bottles I've allowed to build up, waiting for me to take them to the local recycling centre - and because I'm waiting for the council to deliver my brand new recycling bin, which would then mean that they'll collect plastic bottles from my door...hurrah! Only bottles, mind - for some reason, they won't collect anything else plastic - even if it is the same type of plastic (predominantly HDPE). This makes me annoyed, as it is not hard for anyone to work out what type of plastic something is (just look at the number on the bottom!), and would greatly help them reach their recycling targets if they allowed people to put some yoghurt pots or similar in too. And don't even get me started on people who think that recycling's a bad idea....
