Shiny old floor

On a Saturday morning I teach in one of our local schools. It is an old building and has this spectacular parquet floor in the main building. As you can see it has just been sanded and varnished. It cost £6,000 and, because the architect has said that this is the last time it can be sanded, no-one is allowed to put a chair or table on it. It can no longer be used for rehearsals, assemblies or recitals.

It is now beautiful but useless!!
