Happy birthday Dad

It's my Dad's 83rd birthday today. It's the first birthday he's had since my Mam died, so it is a strange day for him (they were married for almost 53 years, after all), but he seems ok, despite feeling a bit under the weather and unable to come out for tea with us this afternoon. Speaking of weather, it's been really cold again today, so Dad has the fire lit this evening and has Shearer the cat for company on his knee. He's had minty new potatoes and a meat pie for tea, with jelly and ice-cream for pudding, and is about to watch his 'Morcambe and Wise' Christmas special DVD, a birthday present from my sister and brother-in-law.
