Schosshalde

After the excitement of the 100th birthday we got to my very good friend's house in Bern. We took it easy on the children and let them get to know each other a bit in the morning. In the afternoon M stayed in in order to watch the match - this match being fought between Basel and Bern I was very aware of my two dialects clashing, with K I speak the Bern dialect and with daughter 1 the Basel dialect but I just went on regardless. I shouldn't mention this but Basel won and I was quite pleased actually.
In the afternoon we headed out to the Schosshalde which is where L rests not very far from Paul Klee, daughter 1 was asking many questions and I tried to answer as well as I could but it is hard to explain to a nearly 6 year old about illness and death. The url=http://www.paulkleezentrum.ch/ww/en/pub/web_root.cfm]Zentrum Paul Klee is right next to the cemetary and we all got a chance to look at more unknown pictures by him in one of the exhibitions - I think I might have preferred seeing some better known ones but it was interesting nevertheless -. L didn't really enjoy looking at these rather abstract paintings and was quite happy to leave fairly quickly again.
This blip is taken on the way home and the the street names are taken from paintings by Klee.
