Comfrey

I found this wonderful patch of comfrey growing at the edge of a field. It was about 30 feet deep between the grass of the field and the trees beyond. It seemed somehow perfect for the weather which was pleasantly cool and breezy. You can see more of the comfrey patch here and here.

The comfrey flowers were buzzing with bumblebees, especially large Common Carder Bees and Tree Bumblebees, but I also saw a Garden Bumblebee and several Early Bumblebees.
