Bounty of the Seashore . . .
A Northern marsh orchid - wild, on the edge of a bog but a stones throw from the craggy south coast of Dunmanus Bay.
A splendid - stunning - day here in West Cork. About as good as it gets. 24 degs C. A warm gentle breeze and a profusion of wild flowers where ever your eyes wonder with fox gloves at the top having just come on strong in the last week.
But it was this stumpy Dactylorhiza purpurella and a few more like it, that got my attention as they caught the last rays of the sun before it set behind Sheep's Head peninsula.
