Festival of Britain

The Festival of Britain took place in Britain in 1951. The main exhibition was on the South Bank in London, with several other sites in London, and one in Glasgow. There were also traveling exhibits -- by land and by sea.

My dad took my brother and me to the sea traveling exhibit in Cardiff. It was on board the Festival Ship Campania. The only thing I remembered about the exhibit was that the ship was an aircraft carrier. I had to do a Web search to find the ship's name.
