Summer in the City.
Baku is full of fountains, but they usually only play on special occasions. Such as when the President drives past (maybe he got the idea from Louis XIV at Versailles?). Anyway, they seem to be turning the fountains on more these days, perhaps to try and cool Baku down. It's not working, you can see the temperature on the digital display behind the fountain. 33 degrees in the shade at 6:30pm. I was nearly home at this point after a 25 minute uphill walk, so it felt about 50 degrees to me! I think the cats are feeling the heat too, Spike was hot on my tail as I headed for the shower - he likes to sit on the edge of the bath and play with the water, getting soaked in the process.
