Have you ever had that picked on feeling?
This snag has been picked on a lot, judging by the large size of the holes, by a Pileated Woodpecker or maybe a bunch of them.

I took a very nice drive up into the mountains, skyline drive, for those of you familiar with this area. There is still snow in places and I image the road is still blocked with snow drifts. Anyways it was absolutely gorgeous up there and so quite, all that I heard for the most part was the birds singing and the wind blowing gently through the trees. I really didn't want to come back down.

I also saw a cinnamon colored bear today as I was coming back to where I am staying for the weekend. I was very excited to see it. I got a photo of it but it is just a generic bear on the road picture so I didn't blip it.
