Skipping through the daisies
I'm a bit insect-obsessed, I admit. Today's subject is a Large Skipper butterfly. It's the first skipper I've seen this year so I hope I've identified it properly. Confusingly, skippers look more like moths than proper butterflies.
The lovely wildflower meadow here belongs to Roger and Poppy, two of my favourite people. It's a tribute to their devotion to conservation and wildlife-friendliness. As well as butterflies, the meadow is heaving with other creepy crawlies - a sure sign of a healthy environment.
I didn't have a proper camera with me this afternoon, but the iPhone came up trumps again.
