My Grandmother

She was born in 1899 and had a hard life. Widowed in 1922 just a few months after Mum was born she had no money and had to move back in with her parents & siblings. She had to go out to work whilst Mum was brought up by her Gran. She finally got a widows' pension in the early 1970s - much too late.
