First Attempt.
Here is my very first attempt using glass paints. It's just done on a thin acetate sheet for practice, it's about 5inches in diameter.
I have a plan to make a large painting of a peacock on thick acetate sheeting for the window at the top of the stairs. Rather than throw myself headlong at the project and make a mess of it I took the sensible (for me) decision to practice first.
I know the black outliner isn't consistent, there are thin bits and lumpy bits and even places where it ran but this was a lesson in what not to do in the end. The colours here haven't been mixed but the lady in the art supplies shop assures me I can mix them and even drop one colour into another for all sorts of different effects. So I need more practice and once I'm feeling more confident I can tackle the big peacock window project.
