On Gossamer Strings
I battled mosquitoes fierce and relentless to get this photograph. It immediately took me back 39 summers to a camp counselor job I had working with young children and stringed puppets. Much of the time those items really didn't mix well, it was a summer of many entanglements. There were moments when things did go nicely with skits on the little stage and the audience giggling on outdoor hillside benches. I met folks who are still my closest friends and learned a lot about giving simple instructions to excited children and encouraging fabulous flights of fantasy.
