Ben Nevis

We decided we would go up Ben nevis today, but took the easy option and went up on a Gondola. I say easy - the Gondolas were quite scarey and I imagine on a windy day they would be more than a white knuckle ride! At the Snowgoose station, there are mountain bike trails down the mountain itself. They are very popular, and the the last few days they have been host to the Mountain Biking World Cup. We watched the mountain Bikers flying off the ramps and sliding down the mountain for a bit. Very Brave!

We went to look at Neptunes Staircase on the way backt o the cottage, and Master Pink was very excited because as we got to the locks, there were boats waiting to go through the last lock and bridges. We sat for a while watching, as the road bridge and rail bridge swung to one side to let the boats through and back again. (We have been playing locks and bridges quite a lot since then)
