Elderflowers

The characters in the book I'm reading for Book Group this month were making Elderflower Cordial or Champagne in a scene I read recently. Then on Saturday I happened to buy a second-hand cookery book by the esteemed cookery writer, Claire Macdonald, in which there is a recipe for Elderflower and Lemon Curd. I'm a bit of a dab hand at the lemon curd (I write modestly), but I've never tried cooking with elderflowers. So I'm keeping an eye on a local patch and I may harvest some later in the week.
