The Paella Fella

Another beachy day - this time on the hunt for some serious paella. Not hard to find in Nerja, given that all the beach front restaurants serve it as their special.

This restaurant seems to do it with a bit more oomph than the others - a huge open fire, a massive paella pan and enough chicken, rice, prawns, mussels, clams to sink a ship.

Oh god it was good.

I asked the Paella Fella what each of the ingredients were going in and when he got to pepper he asked me what 'pimento' was in English and I said 'pepper' and he shook his head and laughed, muttering 'pepper' again and again like it was the funniest thing ever.

Fair enough I suppose!
