Fire Bird

It was enough excitement to get me off the couch... a beautiful hook and ladder firetruck pulled up out front and stayed a while. They came to free a bird that had been stuck - by fishing line on his foot - in the tree next door. Apparently he'd been there a few days.

Well, the good guys climbed up and freed him. He fluttered down a bit and sat. He's still there an hour later.

He's been through a lot. His leg is probably wrenched up and his left claw is a mess. Sadly, he's still got more fishing line wrapped around his talons.
