Introducing Emily...

Emily was born in Guyana and her father was in the police service there! One of those accidents of birth left her somewhat handicapped through her whole life. But she was brought up in Edinburgh, sent to Finishing School in Lausanne - a process interrupted by the Second World War. So she claims she was "never finished".

She spent her life working for charities in a voluntary capacity - and loved, above all, to travel - across all of Europe, Australia, New Zealand, the Holy Land, the USA and Canada, South Africa, Ceylon, Costa Rica.....

She is a great fan of cricket, tennis and rugby - but her real delight is a good party!

She will be 90 next year, and wants to celebrate with a helicopter ride!
