My Daily Bread

There's nothing quite like freshly baked bread. The smell that fills the kitchen, the first cut of the crust and the warmth and soft texture inside. Gorgeous.

It was my hubby's suggestion to get a breadmaker (he's a personal trainer and was interested in making sure we know what goes into our food). But unlike a lot of kitchen gadgets that you buy, use once and then put in a cupboard, the breadmaker has had regular use for the year or so we've had it.

I set it last night before I went to bed and got up this morning to this delight.

Flour, water, yeast and just a bit of butter, salt and sugar.

That's it.
