Taktsang
Taktsang or Tiger's nest monastery. Built at a 900m high rock. It was a steep climb up the hill to the monastery. We were told that the locals generally take about an hour to reach the top. We took about two and a half. The hike was spectacular with nice views of the valley below and the monastery in the middle of the cloud. Just a few minutes into the hike, I and Mrs Adda were panting for breath and were wondering will this ever end. But when we got a glimpse of what lied ahead, we found a whole new enthusiasm and energy to complete rest of the hike. No photography was allowed inside the monastery but the place in itself was serene, peaceful and amazingly tranquil. It was about four and a half hours of hike up and down. Post lunch, rest of the day was spent just lazing around in the hotel. It was our last day in Bhutan and we leave back for Kolkata before dawn.
