Happy Birthday Me!

36 years gone!

One year older,
Happy birthday to me,
Do I look any different?
What do you see?

Do I seem some what wiser?
Has there been a big change?
Am I found more alluring?
Or truly more strange? (Probably)

Do I look over 35
My head says 18,
Middle age fast approaching,
But allot I've have seen.

I love my baldy head,
My wrinkle free face, (who am I trying to kid)
You'll still find some youth,
That time can't erase. (I wish)

Candles are burning,
On my birthday cheese scone (don't do cakes)
Cards all lay open,
No presents to unwrap

One birthday wish,
Is all that remains,
My deepest desire,
Is what it contains.

I can't say just what,
Or it will not come true,
Here's hoping next year,
I wish something new.
