Quiz Night

Number five

Nice day on the weather front today, our daughter was spot on with her statement earlier about one of the things that sets us Scots apart from a lot of other nations. She said "We Scot's folk moan about the weather a lot don't we?". And she's right; we moaned all winter when it was cold and, now that we've had a couple of days with the thermometer racing snail-like towards the mid 20s, we're whingeing that it's too hot to work. Of course, in between those two extremes, when it's just raining, we like to have a good auld moan about that too.

Wouldn't like to set you all off again so the mystery object here is a relatively easy one tonight (actually, strictly speaking there's two: points will be awarded for either) - it's been too nice/too hot a day (here in Scotland at least) to punish you anymore. That, and the fact NO-ONE guessed last week's. Not even the 20 or so additional guesses that were made on Facebook at the same time as it appeared on here.

I won, I get all 10 points!

The quiz may well be descending in to something resembling a good old game of Calvinball but there you go.

As the sun is still shining bright and the thermometer's still reading 23 degrees at kick-off I'm heading off for an ice cold Bud to listen to some vuvuzelas. I fully expect this quiz to be well and truly nailed by the time I come back to the fridge for another.
