Farewells...

This is probably one of the most photographed streets in Soller, just around from my house. And what a surprise, the plants don't get knicked!! Ella and Simon came for lunch today which was great because there won't be many lunches together as from July. They came from New York for a year out to learn Spanish and were thrown in at the deep end just like my two to the local school knowing only a little Spanish and no Catalan whatsoever. Ella's linguistic abillities after a school year are amazing and little Simon, after pretending for a year that he doesn't know anything, is now chatting away...although with me he still just pretends it is his secret language! Tanya will be very upset when Ella goes home...and like all little girls, they've had their fragile friendship moments, but they adore each other! After lunch we headed to their house for a swim in the pool. Will will miss them all when they leave...just as well I love New York!
