Temp check

We're havin' a heat wave. Welcome to the southeastern coast - USA. It's been in the 90's for the more than a week and the humidity is no slouch either! Can't imagine what folks in this part of the country did before air conditioning. Sad part is that many still don't have it due to their economic situation. Our local TV station runs an annual drive to supply fans to the less fortunate. And when the temps run above 100, or a heat index of 110, shelters are available for relief.

The thermometer in the garage shows 90 degrees at 11:00am. It will climb to close to 100 degrees or more before the day is out. The rest of the house is kept comfortable with AC.

Why live here? The beach (cool breezes) is less than three miles away, the scenery is a semi-tropical paradise, so, if you can stand the heat, you have it made. Winters are much more tolerable as well.
