Food at Splatz

It may have been a lovely day, but we spent much of it in Fun at Splatz in Haltwhistle with some friends and their littlies. It was actually quite nice to stay indoors without constantly having to chase around putting a sunhat back on Grace's head, worrying whether there is enough suncream on her and just keeping an eye on hazards in general.

Splatz is such a safe environment, and you can pretty much see the whole room from the sofas. For once, then, I could actually sit and talk with other adults for more than 5 seconds at a time as we played with our babies and let the toddlers run about. At lunchtime, it was a day of firsts: first time Ophelia had used a proper highchair whilst out and about; and first time I trusted Grace not to be in a high chair in Splatz - she's like a cat on hot bricks and needs pinning down. Needed it today too really. Ophelia ate all of her lunch and most of Grace's too. I swear she'll be bigger than her sister before we know it and be beating her up ;)
