first lightbox

This is the first lightbox I've "made" for the upcoming exhibition.

I'm hoping to do another 4 or 5 depending on how many suitably ornate/garish frames I can find in the local charity shops.

The box housing the light is a real dog's breakfast though and about 6 inches deep and pretty heavy.

Man, you wanna see the carpentry, it's totally sub-Jesus, you'd laugh yer nuts off !

Ideally I want it to be really slim, sleek n sexy and unobtrusive but when I put a false bottom in the box to make it shallower, the bulb became really obvious from the front of the picture.

Maybe tube lighting wouldn't show through so much in a shallower box, and also I could use thicker/denser diffusing..er..stuff ????

I could call the series..."Don't look round the back" ?
