A beret or a toilet seat cover???

This was my first attempt at crocheting a beret. So, the pattern is not one I care for, but it was easy enough for my first try. I'm hoping to perfect it by Christmas time so I can make berets, scarves, and wrist warmer sets. I guess it's not horrible for try number one. I've only done afghans, lap blankets, and prayer shawls up until now. My daughter graciously agreed to model at the spur of the moment. We had just come back from grocery shopping in town and made it through some heavy rain and blinding lightning. I feel so bad, we messed around with that while Michael unloaded all of the groceries himself!

I got the kids some of those glow stick bracelets while I was at the craft store. $1 for 15, they are all running around with them now.
