Graduation

We had four graduation ceremonies this week, ours on Thursday morning in the newly reopened Usher Hall followed by a reception at our campus. Not impressed with the Usher Hall - it's been closed for a couple of years and the only difference I could see was a lick of paint. We (the academic staff) were seated in the choir stalls at the back of the stage and they are definitely the same; tiny, shallow, very hard wood. Next time I might conceal a cushion unde the academc robes - think anyone will notice?

The reception was lovely, as usual, and we got to meet many of our graduates and their families. I have lots more pictures on Flickr

Off on Friday to Bridlingon in Yorkshire for a wedding - on the train as it's too much driving. Found a hotel with wireless internet though! Isn't it sad when that becomes a prioity.
