From the air
Flying to Glasgow today (and onwards to Holland), I was lucky to find clear skies over the Highlands. Caught this magnificent view of the Blackwater Reservoir. Few people will have actually seen this loch other than from the train (passing a few miles to the east) or from the plane. Reservoirs stand out due to the fringe of sandy shores, which indicate the fluctuating water levels. The other lochs, natural ones that is, do NOT show this.
