chicks on the loose
every week, i take a little drive out into the country. past farm after farm and the occasional little streams wandering through a patch of woods. you see, i own a share of a cow at a small organic dairy farm and each week i go to the farm to collect the milk that share entitles me to. delicious, unpasturized, whole, raw milk. worthy of a drive into the country once a week for sure.
well today, as i pulled up to the farm, a stampede of chirping little chicks came running towards my car. chirp chirp chirp! they were so loud, i could hardly believe something so small could make such a noise. but cute, oh so cute. in that baby chicken sort of way, that maybe it takes a chicken-lover like myself to really appreciate. and the whole time i was there, they followed me everywhere. chirp chirp chirping away!
this little guy didn't seem to find me quite as exciting, as he calmly stuck to his place in the grass.
