After a trip to Port Edgar to pick up some hanks of rope (is that the right term?) for my upcoming trip, took in the Scottish Documentary Shorts award at the Filmhouse. I've been going for years, but the final film this year was just extraordinary - RFK's last journey based on Paul Fusco's photos of Robert Kennedy's coffin being taken by train from New York to Washington DC. Just wonderful, and his speeches brought a tear to a cynical eye, I'll tell you.
Later on watched Winter's Bone and then went for a 'couple' of beers with my old school pal Johnny who's up for the weekend.
Hardly saw any football. I must make amends tomorrow.
