One in a million shot...missed

There was a distant thunderstorm last night, over the mountains to the South of my apartment, and I stood at the window for about 30 minutes, waiting for that fork of lightning, finger poised over the shutter...but no, every time I went to check the settings on my camera *FLASH*, and I had missed an opportunity :( Who knows if I even had the right settings? I didn't even get a chance to find out if I was wrong!

So instead, there is a rolling red sign downstairs, and I thought it might be interesting to get a solid red bar in amongst the trees.

I am a little disappointed that I never got a lightning shot, but maybe next time.
