Hat and Prize

We had an "Ascot" Charity afternoon today. The Ladies' Captain's Charity this year is "Help For Heroes" I won the best themed hat prize a lovely Photo frame. We put on bets and then watched the race on the T.V. We only paid out on the winning horse. Then we had afternoon tea. Sandwiches, Scone with jam and cream and fresh strawberries and cream. Oh and I nearly forgot -- Pink Champagne. I won £22.50 on the Britannia Stakes as only two people bet on it. Quite a good afternoon !
