Rainy season...

The combined effect of the rainy season and unpaved roads: being blocked from continuing. Even though the rains weren't that heavy in the park yet, they did fall somewhere else, causing this river too rise and flood the road. And because this is the only road accessible to vehicles that connects the southern with the northern part, it caused a bit of a problem. We had to make a major detour, which took most part of the afternoon, partly becausse of car problems, to reach the northern part of the park, entering from a different side.

We stayed in Ducie Camp in northern Mole for 2 nights, using the guest accomodation in the guards' camp. Here I had an encounter with the largest bug I've ever seen, without exaggeration some 10 cm from head to 'toe'. That would be too bad, but even I can scream if you turn your head and see it crawling on your shoulder...
