Gymnasts

The Boy was taking part in his annual gymnastic display today. He did a great job, his mum and I are immensely proud and I have a bunch of photos of him but the one I'm posting isn't him.

This is Douglas and Maddy doing their pairs routine. They were silver medalists at the British championships last year. There are loads of great gymnasts at The Boy's club and the two group routines the seniors did blew my mind. I spent the whole time with my jaw on my knee mumbling 'my word'. I don't know how I'm going to feel when it's my boy flying through the air in a few years time (if he sticks with it).

This is the best pic I got showing the drama of the event and the sheer strength and ability of these guys. It's a bit grainy but ISO had to be pushed to get the shutter speed required.
