There is a nice little horse shoe of hills North of Ambleside.

This is the out-lier that we used to extend the day, because A just thought the three thousand feet of ascent/decent and ten miles were just not enough.

Lovely weekend had by all. This weekend's culinary recommendation is 'Ambles' in Ambleside, three courses for £16.50, swift service by nice polite people, and the honey roast ham melted in the mouth.
