The bat on the gate

This is a small section of a fascinating gate in Alnham. Saw it today at the end of the walk from Rothbury to Alnham on the first section of the new Shepherd's Way walk. Lovely weather and a pleasant group of walkers. Russell led and Jon came and joined us after the first 30 minutes.
