Old Time Fun
Historic Baseball at Greenfield Village.
We spent the afternoon at Greenfield Village at The Henry Ford in Dearborn, MI USA.
Today there were classic cars - LOTS of classic cars from all eras and from around the world. It was very cool to see all of them but the way that they were roped off and ID'd with signs in the windows made it difficult to get good/interesting photos. I think the Woodward Dream Cruise makes for much better up close viewing and photography.
At any rate, it was a great day to visit Greenfield Village. I have lived in the Metro Detroit area for over 20 years and this was my first visit to Greenfield Village. Just a few of the things to see and do there - Thomas Edison's Menlo Park Lab, The Wright Brother's Bicycle Shop, and rides in vintage Model T's. We rode in a 1921 Model T. Way cool.
We watched some of the Old Time Baseball (played by 1867 rules) while we were there. This was my favorite shot of the day.
If you're interested in a few more sights I posted some more pics on flickr.
Cheers!
