Sustainable Feast
This is the second year the Stroud Water Research Center hosted this fundraiser and wow, the venue and weather couldn't have been better.
The menu was beyond delectably fantastic and to think all the food and wine was not only sourced locally, but organic and grown sustainably. At $150 a plate, it truly was a feast. Organic salmon with pickle radish atop a new potato, organic lamb sausage on crostini with hummus, & fried green tomato "pops" were the hors d'oeuvres. A vegetable tart started the series of menu items. Then a chilled zucchini soup, a beef stroganoff turnover with swiss chard, a cheese plate, and finally a strawberry parfait to pop the last of the buttons off your shirt!
I can't wait 'till next year!
