The big reveal....

100 today.

I took a few pictures of 100's, but nothing really struck my fancy.

I wanted to do something special to mark the occasion, but just didn't really have the time.

I've thought all along that I'd never do a SP, because I just don't like photos of myself. I'd rather stay behind the camera.

But...

Since it is my Blipday and all, and I did want to do something special for you...

Here you go. Self-portrait. Enjoy it - it's probably the only one you'll ever get.


Do want to thank everyone here on Blip for being so warm and welcoming. When I first dipped my toe in this little pond of ours, I wasn't sure how long it would last, or where exactly this Blip thing would take me, but I was overwhelmed by all the kind and supportive comments. My sincere gratitude goes to everyone who's visited my little corner of Blip over the last hundred days - especially those of you who've left all those wonderful comments. Thank you, thank you, thank you. I don't comment on all of your pages as much as I'd like - I just don't have the time, and I'm truly sorry for that - but please know that I look. Whenever I have a spare moment, I'm usually skimming around this place, enjoying all these moments from your lives - frozen in time and presented here for all to see. Again, thank you.


Anyone who visits me regularly knows that the text here is often as important as the image. One unexpected result of my Blip adventure is that I've started writing again. This page - this necessity for creating some sort of text every day - has provided an outlet and a motivation which I've never had before. And the appreciative audience I've found here is truly an inspiration - I gave up writing years ago in the face of girlfriends demanding that I write something "happy" and taking it personally when I didn't. Easier to just stop than to make them understand. But here I've found at least some people who seem to appreciate what I have to say, and that's wonderful. Again, thank you for that.
