All for sake of....

Here we go again, my my....

I was truly dreading going t Mamma Mia in Japanese with M and the mother-in-law on Sunday. the thought of it reminded me of going to "It's a Small World" at Tokyo Disneyland for the first time, with Mickey and Minnie chiming in for good measure in high pitched Japanese cartoon voices. That was disturbing to say the least.

Maybe I've been here too long and just got used to it, but it turns out Abba's music transcends the translation at least up to a point. Would I sit and listen to Abba CDs all day?
Not unless really drunk. But what a fantastic show! The performances were amazing and the whole things ended with a fabulous sequinned flared medley in English.

In 20 years, I have never seen an entire Japanese audience jump to its feet without being told to and dance along to the music at a show like that.

Mairi loved it and even the MIL cracked a smile!

How did people ever think those fashions were cool, even at the time?

Psychedelic drugs?
