Woody Woodpecker.

After what seems like months or even years I have finally managed to get a shot of a woodpecker on the nuts!

As many of you know they are timid things and at the first sign of movement they fly off in a flash of black and white. So many times I've crept up to the window with the curtains draped around me and stood for what seemed like hours trying to capture these birds on camera. Today I was in camouflage, well a black top and khaki skirt, I had the mesh from the window (to keep the bugs out) wrapped around the camera and then poked the big lens out of the open window and hey presto, first try and here it is!
